Automated reminders and messages
What you'll do
You will open Alerts & Reminders (School notifications) and choose which automatic messages to send. One-off texts are still sent from a student profile.
Open School notifications
In Admin Tools, Alerts & Reminders opens School notifications. Channels include in-app notifications, in-app messaging, SMS, and phone calls (after Phone & SMS is set up).
Turn on the reminders you want
The real options include Drive reminders (student), Quiz results, Class session reminders, Fine / invoice messages, Schedule changes, Missed drive follow-up, and Exam / monitoring reminders. There is no waitlist or open-slot SMS toggle.
Broadcast when you need everyone
Use Broadcast to message many students at once. For one family, message from the student profile instead.
Set up Phone & SMS
SMS and calls need Phone & SMS in Admin Tools. Until that is connected, in-app notifications can still run.
Tip
Keep Drive reminders (student) on. That is the reminder families actually notice before a lesson.
