Staff roles and who can edit what
What you'll do
You will set who is a school admin and who has Billing access. There is no five-role permissions grid and no assistant Refund switch.
School admin vs instructor
School owners and admins use Admin Tools. Instructors use the instructor dashboard. School admin is stored as school admin / admin level on the instructor, not as a separate login product.
Job titles on Faculty
Faculty job titles include Assistant, Driving Instructor, Senior Instructor, Lead Instructor, and Instructor Manager. Assistants are blocked from monitoring, My Drives, My Availability, and my-hours.
Billing access
On Faculty → the instructor → Account, Billing access lets that person edit and manage student payment information (plans, Record Payment, fines). Instructors without it cannot change payments. Refunds still happen on Admin Tools → Payments.
Check the Activity Log
Admin Tools → Activity Log shows who changed what. Use it if a payment or profile edit looks wrong.
Tip
Give front desk Billing access only after they understand Record Payment vs online checkout.
