GPS drive records

4 minUpdated August 2026For school owners, instructors

What you'll do

You will enable GPS drive records, available on Standard and Scale plans, and see how they attach hour proof to every behind the wheel lesson.

  1. Turn it on

Enable GPS drive records in school settings. Instructors record drives from the mobile app, which logs route, duration, and time of day alongside the lesson notes.

  2. During the drive

The instructor starts the lesson in the app. Skills covered, day or night status, and duration are captured with the record. Nothing extra to type after the lesson.

  3. On the student record

Each drive shows its verified duration and counts toward day and night hour requirements automatically. Parents can see completed drives from their own account.

  4. For the state

Hour reports export with the drive level detail behind them. When an auditor asks how you know a student drove 6 night hours, you show them instead of explaining.

Tip

GPS records are hour proof, not surveillance. Tell families that at enrollment and nobody objects.
