Enrollment

How payment fits the enroll path

Checkout is part of getting a student into your program, not a separate billing tool they have to chase later.

  1. Family picks a program and pays

Tuition, deposits, or installments at enrollment. Card checkout runs on Stripe Connect so funds go to your school account.

  2. Student unlocks classes and drives

Paid enrollments open classroom seats, self paced modules, and behind-the-wheel booking under the rules you set.

  3. Add-ons and fines stay on one ledger

Extra drives, makeup lessons, guest invoices, refunds, and late cancel fines post to the same student payment history.

Card payments settle to your account

What is included

Billing for enrollment, drives, and day-to-day charges

One payment surface for the charges driving schools collect most often, with room for pay-at-school when you need it.

Stripe checkout for every service

Curriculum packages, add-on drives, makeups, and guest invoices use the same card flow families already trust.

Money goes to the school

Payments settle to your connected Stripe account. DriversEdPro routes the charge. Your school receives the funds.

Guest payments without an account

Parents or walk-ins can pay a drive invoice by link. No full student login required for one-off charges.

Refunds and fines in one place

Issue refunds on the original charge, collect late cancel fines, and keep every line item on the student ledger.

Balance locks for booking

Optional rule: unpaid balances block the next drive until the family pays. Turn it off for cash or employer billing.

PCI-safe card handling

Cards are tokenized by Stripe. DriversEdPro never stores full card numbers in your school database.

Questions

Payments and billing questions answered

What schools ask before turning on online checkout.

How do student payments work in DriversEdPro?

Families pay at enrollment and later for add-on services through Stripe checkout. Charges run on your school's Stripe Connect account so tuition, drives, and fines settle to you, not to a shared DriversEdPro wallet.

Does the money go directly to our school?

Yes. Student card payments are processed to your connected Stripe account. DriversEdPro can take a platform enrollment fee where configured, but student tuition and service charges are directed to the school.

What can students pay for online?

Curriculum and tuition packages, payment plans, add-on and makeup drives, guest drive invoices, and policy fines such as late cancellations. Staff can also record cash or check payments when a school takes money at the desk.

Can someone pay without creating a full student account?

Yes. Guest payment links cover one-off drive invoices and similar charges so a parent or visitor can pay by card without full enrollment.

How do refunds and fines work?

Refunds can be issued against a paid charge and show on the student ledger. Late cancel and retake fines can be charged online or marked paid when collected in person.

Do we have to use Stripe?

Most online checkout schools use Stripe Connect. Schools can also use QuickBooks Payments or run manual / pay-at-school mode with no in-app card charges. The processor is chosen during billing setup.
